Tech conglomerate Microsoft has launched a new line of Windows PCs tailored for the era of artificial intelligence, named ‘Copilot+ PCs’. According to the company’s announcement, these are the swiftest and smartest Windows PCs ever produced.

Priced from $999, these computers are equipped with advanced silicon that supports an impressive 40+ TOPS (trillion operations per second), boast all-day battery life, and provide access to cutting-edge AI models.

Yusuf Mehdi, Executive Vice President and Consumer Chief Marketing Officer, stated that these experiences will be showcased on a range of sleek, lightweight, and attractive devices from Microsoft Surface along with their OEM partners Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Samsung, starting June 18.

Linked with and improved by the large language models (LLMs) operating on Azure Cloud, in collaboration with small language models (SLMs), Copilot+ PCs are now capable of reaching unprecedented levels of performance.

The company announced that the devices are up to 20 times more powerful and up to 100 times as efficient at managing AI tasks, offering the best AI acceleration in the industry.

All Copilot+ PCs will automatically include the Microsoft ‘Pluton Security’ processor for enhanced security.

The company explained that the new Recall feature allows users to access almost anything they have viewed or done on their PC, simulating the experience of having a photographic memory.

Additionally, Adobe’s leading applications, such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Express, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and others, will be available on Copilot+ PCs starting this summer.
