Cisco partners are entering one of the most important phases in the channel industry. For years, partners helped customers buy, deploy, and maintain technology. Today, their role is much bigger. They are expected to turn Cisco’s full stack into business outcomes across networking, security, collaboration, observability, cloud and AI infrastructure.
The numbers explain why this shift matters. Cisco reported US$ 56.7 billion in FY2025 revenue, up 5% year on year, and AI infrastructure orders from webscale customers crossed $2 billion. Around 90% of Cisco’s revenue flows through partners, making the ecosystem central to its growth story. The opportunity ahead is even larger: Cisco has projected partner-delivered AI services to become a US$ 267 billion market by 2030, while IDC expects worldwide AI spending to reach US$ 632 billion by 2028.
This momentum also exposes a clear customer problem. Cisco’s AI Readiness Index shows that only 15% of organisations have networks fully ready for AI, and only 24% can control agent actions with proper guardrails and live monitoring. That gap is exactly where strong Cisco partners become indispensable.
The next wave will favour partners who go beyond resale. Customers will need guidance on AI-ready data centres, secure networking, SASE, Zero Trust, Splunk-led observability, lifecycle adoption and managed services. Skills will matter too, especially when 78% of ICT roles now include AI technical skills.
In this new ecosystem, the best Cisco partners will make it secure, usable, and valuable at scale for every industry that depends on digital resilience.
